MS Office key

Hello,

I had a customer whose hard drive crashed and had to replace his hard drive. He has the original hologram MS Office Professional cd but lost his serial key. I told him to call Dell and Microsoft. Both companies said they couldn't help him. Any idea who he can call to get help with getting a new key?

Unfortunately, he will have to purchase a new one. According to Microsoft's License, you must put the holographic sticker with the key on the computer you installed windows on. If this was not done, your client violated the terms of use and must re purchase a copy of windows. I highly recommend that he attach the holographic sticker this time around.

If you can get the hard drive to work (if only for a few minutes), you can try and slave it to use magic jelly bean to recover the old code!

Hi,

Thanks for the input and help guys. I will check out jelly bean for my next problem system. The customer had the wrong office cd for his laptop he gave me the office cd for his other desktop by accident. He told me he was able to install the correct cd and it worked. I think Dell put the sticker on the bottom when he bought the laptop with office already installed.
