Default Cookie issue!!

I know this may be a crazy/dumb issue.......but I have a machine that gives the following error message

Cookies must be allowed
Your browser is currently set to block cookies. Your browser must allow cookies before you can use Windows Live ID.

Cookies are small text files stored on your computer that tell Windows Live ID sites and services when you're signed in. To learn how to allow cookies, see online help in your web browser.

I have set/reset internet options and everything I could think of..I was getting the NT Authority/system error (causing the pc to reboot after 1 min even in safe mode) but that issue is resolved......ran malware bytes, cleaned 17 infections..........now client unable to log in to windows live.......

What browser are you using (IE im guessing ? )

Is there anything else that is running that could be blocking Cookies ?

And I'm sure you have, but I'll ask anyway ..

Have you googled the issue ?

I know there are a handful of fixes out there for this issue relating to IE and Windows Live. Not all will work in your case, but one of them should

If that works then its def a prob with IE.

Reset IE back to default ?

Re-Register IE ? (script somewhere in Scripting Section)
Dont use my one though, someone else created one which was more indepth.

hmmmmm...try this one also click the security tab you will see four icons internet, local intranet, trusted sites and restricted site ...ok ?? ...then click the trusted sites icon...click sites button and manually add them....put their URL in the space provided....click custom level button...set to low ..ok
may be there is a bit of manipulation for the activeX component .... you can have a look around at various options....whenever you think you have messed up... just click the default button...
make clearing temp internet files... cookies.... history...etc..etc....
