We've had good results with some of the USB video adapters, like USB to DVI from nvidia..

I would just cut the case out... considering the PCI slots match the cutting space :P (I wouldn't be surprised hehe)

Yes, the new low end HPs are incredibly cheap. I was surprised when I saw they started using external PSUs for the desktops. At the rate they're going they'll probably be making cases out of cardboard in a year or two, then they can advertise that it's earth friendly & recyclable.

Bah. Garbage.

Make sure, if you get a new chassis for it, that the board is a standard matx form factor. Some of the HPs have 'unique' boards that are outside of normal form factor guidelines and will not fit into a matx case.

That is about as bare bones as you can get without going raspberry pi.
2 Sata ports? sorry about wanting that extra hd. No expansion slots, a soldered down AMD...

I just cried a little on the inside.

That is about as upgradeable as a tablet.
