Thought I might do some SSID advertising and possibly give internet access over the "guest" network. I set it up last night, made sure if on the guest network you cannot access anything on the lan and only have access to the internet. But all of this is almost pointless without having a splash page or just making the browser load up my website. Any one know how to do this? The router I have now is a netgear wnr2000v3. I googled it and found some custom firmwares but I am trying to avoid changing everything to where I have to connect everyone back to the wireless. Just an idea I had. Any help would be great, thanks.

Your answer is vlan & captive portal. Try pfsense its free. Also you could try a mikrotik router or a Drytek one.

Untangle also has the ability and is more stable and offers better protection than a residential router. It has free packages and if you have an extra box it would be a free upgrade.
