Default Remote Procedure Call error in XP (Shutdown)

Hello all,

If anyone has come across this problem, I'd appreciate any ideas or fixes. I have a multiboot machine with XP (SP3) and Ubuntu 11.04. When running XP, I get a shutdown from a "Remote Procedure Call" that shuts the system down. I can't supply a screenshot to show what it looks like, as it won't allow me the time to do so. Microsoft Kbase is useless, and the error log in Event Viewer only shows that an error occured, but provides no detail.

Virus scans are clean, and it doesn't happen everytime the system is running, but it only happens (of course) when I'm in the middle of something.

Thanks in advance for tips, ideas etc.

Brad
