+1 Had to use it last week to install on a PC that had a failing optical drive and wouldn't boot to the network.

Granted, you can accomplish the same goal of making a bootable Win7 install on a flash drive with other means, the process of using this offical tool couldn't be simpler. Two thumbs up for the rare occurrence that M$ actually provides something useful!

CAN I USE MY NEWLY CREATED USB DRIVE TO INSTALL WINDOWS 7 ON SOMEONE ELSE'S COMPUTER?

No. The Windows 7 ISO file on the USB flash drive is only intended to be used to install Windows 7 on the licensed userís own computer.


"only intended" does that mean it does not work on more than one computer or your not supposed to?
