Which laptop do repair techs here use?
I currently have an ancient Dell Inspiron 510m so I'm in desperate need of an upgrade as its slow and customers probably expect me to be using the latest tech. I'm considering an ASUS Eee PC, but I'm wondering what others here use.

Asus eeePC 1005HA. Put a solid state in it and upgraded the memory. When I'm at the house, it's a thin client, when I'm on a job, it's a portable server.

My Sony Vaio VPCEB1S0E/WI, lovely Laptop for repair usage; especially as it has an e-sata port. Suits my needs entirely.

When I'm on-site, an Acer Aspire One, Windows 7, upgraded RAM. Very portable, long battery life, works great for what I need.

my main desktop is a Dell inspiron 6400 running Ubuntu Linux.
I was carrying a Dell mini 9 that I had ubuntu, then OSX, and finally ubuntu for about 2 years. Now I'm carrying a Vostro 3700 that I bought a few months ago. |
