Bestbuy is opening up in the UK.
A massive store is opening 2 miles from where I live in Thurrock, Essex. PC World & Bestbuy - 500 meters separate these stores. I have concerns over the immediate impact to my company but in the long run it will be the customers who suffer the most. |

One observation, I am pretty much against bashing the competition when talking with customers. Best Buy/GeekSquad is not the devil, but there are things that an independent can do much much better. Emphasize that.

The Geek Squad have been around in the UK for a while now: http://www.geeksquad.co.uk/, they just never really had their own store. I don't think this is necessarily a a bad thing, big box stores quite often drive business to smaller techs due to their lack of competance

Let them come!
The Romans passed by, The French (tried), and many other... UK is not US. They'll have to adjust. Glad to hear that PC World will have some serious competition. "Whatever your world, NOT PC WORLD!"
