I just called for a job to run wires for a dvr package the customer bought online
My only concern was that it had prebuilt wires running about 60ft, which wont be long enough to reach to the backoffice where they want the dvr.

what can I do to extend the bnc and power wires and how far can the power line run without dropping power

sorry i missed this... please feel free to get my attention through a private message in the future.

voltage drop can be a problem. find out the ohms resistance of the wire by foot. then you can easily calculate the voltage drop, and see at how many feet it will be unusable to the camera. :) without knowing it's impossible for me to tell you the answer. You can always couple bnc connections and even use amplifiers and bridges if running over extreme distances, if you need it.
