Hi everyone. I could use some help with my son's laptop. He appointed me to maintain it and fix it. That would be ok, if i had some knowledge of computers. After 6 months of my son downloading stuff from Lime Wire, the laptop almost... well, IT WAS UGLY! Anyway, John Lewis fixed it for us FREE OF CHARGE and now LIME WIRE is off limits permanently. So, now that i've had the laptop back for a few days, all i need to know now, is how to fix all problems that have started. I'll start writing my list of questions now.

Install an antivirus
Either AVG Free (if home use) Avg Free (http://free.grisoft.com)
or Avast home (also for home use) Aast for home (http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html)

Next get some Anti-Spyware/Malware programs
Spybot (http://www.safer-networking.org/)
adaware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/)
Avg AntiSpyware (http://free.grisoft.com)

after that, run all the updates for Windows, and other programs installed. Be sure to update java from http://www.java.com
