Computer clock slows down

1. My computer digital clock (located in the bottom right of the screen) slows down over the time.
2. In the initial start, i get blue screen, after hitting esc key, I get main desk top screen.
please help

I know this is an old post but you might want to replace your battery.... It'll fix you up.

make sure the battery isn't glued to the board (I found this out a year ago the hard way!!)
