I am going to be interviewing more computer technicians in a variety of jobs (head network admins for large companies for example) similar to our last one here (http://www.technibble.com/interview-with-robert-gail-it-helpdesk-supervisor/#more-92). What questions would you guys like me to ask them?
Do they have to be tech and business related?

Any/Either. Basically anything you want to ask. Even personal (eg. Do you like your job?).
Of course I'll break up the questions so they are only asked to the appropriate type of Techie (eg, networking certification questions to network techies).

I would appreciate it if you asked:
How you got into the profession?
What qualifications did you need and how did you study for them?
What your typical day is like?

How about if they have experience in dealing with an ID10T or PEBKAC error, lol! Make that interview fun

Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair
An example is when an end user is not logging in correctly due to them having the cap lock on. Nothing wrong with the system its just the user doing a Duhhh.

You need some more people to interview? I know someone who's creating his own programming language, which is already used as I've heard telling.

I think if he has created his own programming language then he needs not work at technibble, he should be working for the government or some nasa organization making 3 figures.

I suppose a good question would be:
What are the stages you would brake down computer problem troubleshooting?
And give me an example from your own experience.

Give an example from your experience, where a customer was upset, or not satisfied with either your work, or the work of one of your technicians.
Outline the steps you used to remedy the situation.

Am I the only one that notices this thread is 2+ years old?
nope but obvoiusly someone needed a new link back :D
How about changing it to something more relevant and site related. ie interviews from the techs on the front line, so that the active people and companies from here are given interviews and some promotion.
ps i not looking for interview but i'm sure every long established site members would be happy to give some insight into how it really is on a day to day basis.
