Hi folks
I have a ACER travelmate 2700 and i want to upgrade the RAM - according to the specs it has 2 RAM slots both capable of holding 1GB, I've got a 1GB and a 512mb to replace the std 256. The problem is i can only find one empty slot which i've put the 1gb in. I can't find the second slot which will currently have the 256 in it.
Can anybody help?
Cheers

Hi Andy
I did a quick google search and found some download links to service manuals. They should be able to help you locate the memory slots.

Hope that helps

Also note on laptops memory modules are general under a panel on the bottom of the unit and/or under the keyboard

There is also a possibility that the two slots arent under the same panel. I'd say try looking at the service manual if you have it (or if you dont, follow Techpros advice). If that doesnt work, open up the other panels and see if you can find it.

Cheers guys - i'd looked in loads of places for a decent manual but couldn't find one to tell me how to remove the keyboard - phoned acer this morning and a nice man there told me how to do it - absolute doddle when you know how!

What Laptop are you dealing with ????
Some Laptop makers make it close to simple they mark the screws to the keyboard on the bottom of the laptop as to which ones to replace but the site that has the Repair manual will help alot too
