hi i have a problem with the motherboard on my old laptop, it turns on but it doesnt boot up and nothing shows on the screen.

I was wondering if its possible to actually remove the hard drive and access the data by hooking it up to another laptop or something like that,

cheers,

Sure. You would need a USB drive enclosure to hook it up to another laptop, or you can buy and adapter that will let you connect inside a desktop computer.

Sorry, I just saw your reply. Yes you should be able to copy your data.
