any help that will get me pointed in the right direction will be greatly appriciated.
while browsing the internet i get the following error

The ati2dvag displaydriver has stopped working normally.
Save your work and reboot the system to restore full display functionality.
The next time you reboot the machine a dialog will be displayed giving
you a chance to upload data about this failure to Microsoft.

This could be a number of things. I have seen similar errors when video cards are knocked out of their slots (probably not the case with you as i think your on a laptop), videocards overheating or a bad driver. Since you mentioned it happens when browsing the internet (im assuming it only happens when your on the internet) you are probably looking at a bad driver.

Goto the Toshiba website, goto the download page, find the model your computer is and redownload and install the video driver again.

I was going to say start with over heating. I would start by dusting the laptop completely. Check every external hole you can find, you should not need to take anything apart.

Yes, it is related to heat and no, do not think dusting will help much. You might start thinking about buying another card.

I think this thread is a but old and I doubt the person who wrote it will be coming back.

:)

But incase they do.......

He/she said it happens when browsing the internet, If it only does it when browsing the net and no other time then I doubt its a heat issue.....

If the person is still around I think we need some more information....i.e. does it only happen when browsing the net or does it happen after a certain period of time everytime?
