Anyone have company magnetic signs on their vehicle?
If you do, can you post some images?

Thanks

Thinking about putting them on my truck...

Why would someone steal signs?...Maybe a competitor

They always ruin the paint job.

I have the design and everything ready to make the car magnets but I'm afraid that someone steals them. It might be the competition or it could be just stupid people for "fun"

I have them on all three of my vehicles (car truck van). Both sides and rear. They have generated calls, not many, but some. However, the best thing they do is create "Name Recognition". I have alot of people say to me "oh yeah, I've seen Porter Computer around town" etc etc...

Much is the same with most advertising. In our business, getting people to remember us NOW for when they do need us LATER is the key as many people don't need computer work 'right now' therefore they tend to forget. And if you 'recognize' a name you are more likely to choose that company that one that you don't.

So I would say, yes get some signs. To me they are an effective, inexpensive marketing tool.

In the apartment complex where I lived there were 2 other computer guys... 1 of them being a GeekSquad employee. I like to blame him. =)

vinyl graphics are usually cheaper. easier on paint too.

I have them on my vehicle too. I agree with PorterComp, Name and Logo recognition helps because folks have said "oh yeah, I've seen your sign!" I use the magnetic type and make sure I take them off once per week and wash the vehicle before re-applying them. They last longer and the my paint is fine.

I like the idea of putting info on the vehicle's tailgate too. They also make rear-window see-through decals with your logo. You might look into that too.

you do have to keep them clean... at least one a week so that dust doesn't build up under it and scratch the paint.

I get calls every now and then. They have paid for them selves a few times.

It's fun to get calls from a person next to you on the road.

This is absolutely correct. And of course way easier on your paint job.

I just always went with a local guy. It also gives you a chance to sell your services to them as well. That industry is highly dependent on technology. There seem to be a million of em out there in every small town. The start up on a business like that is less than 10k, so a lot of people just have them in their house, etc. Chamber of commerce or yellowpages should yeild a few.
