Ok guys....most of my experience with computer "repair" has been wiping and reloading from scratch.......50 machines or so now......

I am now starting to explore actual virus removal with UBCD4WIN and it's programs......

I have followed some youtube videos and am catching on a little.

I like the 4 part video MAtt from remove-malware.com has.

I went through that whole process and everything seems fine on a machine now except one thing.

When you search in IE8 it automatically uses DOGPILE for the search engine.....I have gone into the IE8 search settings and Dogpile isnt even listed....

Any suggestions for me ???

thanks

thanks for the input........

I finally found that the "default" search engine was not labeled....just "default"

the other searc engines were labeled...Google...etc.......when I made google the default a REMOVE button came up on what WAS just labeled DEFAULT....that fixed it.......no more DOGPILE/PLAYSUSHI crap :)
