I have a question about building a UBCDWIN CD. Is it possible to use an oem versions of windows xp pro to build the cd even though I will be using a vista os on a different computer that the xp is not liscensed to. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can use an oem version of xp to create the disk. As for the rest of you question I have no idea what you are trying to say.

I think he means using Windows XP to build a UBCD and then using that disc on a machine with windows Vista.
I've never tried it but it would be a good experiment though. Wait, now I remember somehting I think it will see vista but I dont think I ever used it to fix though.

I've always used a system-builder OEM version of XP SP2 to make my UBCD4Win CDs. I've also used these builds to fix Vista machines. I don't use the registry fixes in that case though, just the normal everyday tools.

i wouldn't worry about licensing to much when making an ubcd, and it does work on vista machines, but be careful of some of the xp specific tools.
