Mfeeds malware?

I have just received a message from a colleague who has been battling with what appears to be a malware attack being channeled through a program called "MFEEDS".

Despite spending a couple of hours attempting to clean the OS he finally decided to reinstall the OS. I have yet to encounter this one.

Has anyone successfully dealt with a similar attack, which forced IR to visit unsolicited websites. Apparently, our favourite Malwarebytes failed to succeed on this one.

Find out if he really meant "MFEEDS" and not "MSFEEDS".

He is adamant it was MFEEDS because reference to it was displayed on the IE pages. I had already thought about MSFEEDS.

There is very little on the net regarding mfeeds, but I did find a remote response from a site suggesting that ATF Cleaner in conjunction with Malwarebytes may well help to remove this site re-direction malware. Thanks anyway for your interest.
