system security version 4.XXX

I've seen a bit of this lately. Looks alot like antivirus 2009. I tried UBCD4WIN with superantispyware to remove it. I had to manually delete it in safe mode. Was easy to remove but it was missed by kaspersky and superantispware.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on it and if anyone has more info on it.

That has a rootkit in it so you need to do a rootkit scan or it will still be there.

Combofix and Malwarebytes will do the trick most of the time...Some manual cleaning is usually required afterward as well.
