I had a client bring in his daughter's laptop and he told me he wanted the "computer to go back to English." She apparently was in school Puerto Rico and her computer was "fixed down there" what I really think happened was she got an illegal version of Windows XP Pro on her laptop, and the disc was actually in Spanish, and I say an illegal copy because there was no COA on the laptop at all, she had it upgraded from Windows 2000 Pro. Just to save me a headache, there isn't anyway to check the language of the OS without a clean install of a LEGAL windows XP correct? And yes I have gone through the control panel and adjusted those language settings but all menu items are still in Spanish. I just want to make sure this is correct, I have actually never dealt with this sort if issue before, and I wanted a few opinions.
