View Full Version : My MSN account was cracked.
Apparently there's a known exploit that allows someone (even from a remote computer) to log on your Windows Live Messenger/Mail and reset information, like Q and A. I've had several pop ups saying that my account is running at two places at once. I would be worried, but I don't have anything important that I use that account with. Just 500+ contacts. Not sure if I should wait till they fix it as the person says he's not going to do anything with it...

An exploit of this nature out in the wild hasnt been reported yet. There IS an MSN Live 8.0 remote vulnarability that causes a denial of service when you import a malformed contact list. But other than that, nothing is known.
Do you log onto MSN at school or internet cafes?
I only logged on my MSN a couple times from a cyber cafe...my Q and A/passwords are super long and random...and nobody goes on my computer...
