I was reading an article in a PC Magazine I buy and there is an article about a report published by Webroot titled "State of Spyware Q2 2006".
I am just downloading the full report from Webroot:
http://www.webroot.com/land/sosreport-2006-q1.php
Its an interesting read.
But here are some facts from the article:
Percentage of consumer pcs infected with trojans is 31% compared to just 12% in 2004.
Percentage of consumer pcs infected with spyware is 89% compared with just 72% in 2005.
Percentage of consumer pcs infected with adware is just 6% compared with 21% in 2004. So Adware is down.
Check the full report out, I havnt read it yet but I will glance over it.
