View Full Version : Free Porn Galleries how to remove

Not a biggie, it seems not to be harming me, probably a left over from a spyware removal.

Ok I noticed when I have an explorer window open, and I right click it, I get a list of options of things to do, I hardly ever use this feature, just above properties it lists >>>Free Porn Galleries<<< it does nothing if I click on it. I am using the Panda Soft product and am quite happy with it, but it is not finding this.

How do I remove this from the selection tree.

Post a Hiack This Log for us:

How to post a Hijack This Log:
Please make a new folder to put your HijackThis.exe into. Anywhere on your hard drive is fine other than your Desktop or the Temp folder. We suggest you use something like "C:\Program Files\HijackThis" but feel free to use any name.
This is to ensure it makes the necessary backups for recovery if needed.

Download HijackThis

Unzip the file to the new folder you made and doubleclick on HijackThis.exe to open the program. On the newusers quickstart page, Choose *Do a system scan and save a log*

When the scan finishes, you will get a popup to Save the logfile. Please make note of the location you will be saving it to and click *save*. This should save the file and open the log in Notepad. Copy the contents and post the results here.
Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet. Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.

Select ALL the text in the log - headers included; (we need to know what OS you're running) and copy and paste it into a new topic or your existing topic if one has already been started.

Along with that, try the following approach.

Go to Start -> Run -> regedit.exe
Press F3 and search for >>>Free Porn Galleries<<< . It should be able to find an option somewhere deep in the registry. Take a screenshot for every instance of >>>Free Porn Galleries<<< it finds in the registry and post the images. Maybe we can help you manually remove it directly from the source.
