I know that there have been tons of questions asked about remote support software. Enough that we could use an Faq that's been stickyed.
I'm trying to find something that won't break the bank of course.
I'd love to be able to do remote connections that allow me to reconnect after a reboot and boot into safe mode. As I know some programs do, but the tricky part for me, is I'd like to be able to do voice chatting with my clients while doing the work.
Any suggestions?

I use Skype. I pay about £2.50 a month for unlimited calls to landlines. This allows me to use a headset on the PC and keep my hands free for working whilst talking the customer through what I am doing.

I use http://www.theonlyphoneyouneed.com/ and all the calls I place from home or any WiFi network are free. $10 per month added on to phone bill but I can also take those calls on the road if I need to.

This is what I was going to suggest. It's convenient for you to have a headset on, but getting the customer's mic to work correctly would be a hassle. It's best to idiot proof every aspect of your business. It's kind of a cynical view to take, but even your more savvy customers will appreciate not having to go through the extra hassle. They have a phone that they are already comfortable using, and the cost of VOIP service amounts to pocket change.

Yeh I just call the customers landline from my Skype account. I wouldn't want the hassle of configuring mics on every remote call I receive!

Don't laugh I use ...magicjack and a bluetooth earpiece. Even setup my iPhone so I can use it with the MJ and fring to save wireless minutes while near a wifi. Hooked the MJ to my backup service server so that it's always available and it actually works great! The only problem is having to call someone back on a different line.

I actually ran across a software the other day that integrates with MSN, AIM, Yahoo. It allows you to add all of your contacts, and then provide remote support.....they just added a new feature to integrate to Skype for voice chat. I spoke briefly with the dev's on Twitter about the product, but yet to test it...may want to give it a look.
Yuuguu is the name of the software.
