Gave a pc to customer did burnin test no problems, he takes it home it shuts down after 5 mins, took it back checked cpu temp ,re-greased the cpu and cleaned it out really good.

Takes it home it does the same thing, gave him another new machine totally different build does the same thing, brought back the 2 systems ran burnins for 24 hrs no problems, any ideas?.

Seems any computer put in that room run unstable my best guess is he has an electrical problem not enough amps i think he has like a freezer, fridge and tv on that circuit.

The freezer and fridge both have electric motors that cycle on/off. Each time the motor turns on you have a small dip in power on the circuit. When they shut off you will have a surge. Both bad for pc's. That's why I hate when I see space heaters and the like in offices.

Monitor the circuit:

Time to sell him a UPS, I think.....

yeah he needs to change the power.. even an air conditioner can be to much to share power with. tell him to get an extension cord or something. and charge him

Only a UPS will solve the problem. No matter what circuit he's on they all go to the same supply point back at the breaker panel.

sounds like its time to try plugging them in to other parts of the house with different a different breaker. see if that works.

An UPS will fix this if it is house power related.

If you are building these computers, you need to check your power supplies. One of the big differences in power supplies is how they carry over during short voltage drops such as when the compressor starts on a freezer.

Some older houses have too many applicance on a circuit and this can cause this problem. I have checked breaker boxes and found nearly every connection loose. If this is the case, the UPS may be damaged too.

Yeah check those breakers for sure, it really doesn't hurt to know your way around them!
