"What Changed" is a great tool for those people who you're always servicing but don't have a clue. They'll break something then we have to figure out what. What Changed (http://www.vista-software.com/support.php) will tell us that.

Great tool. I can think of a couple of times that this would have been useful. Thanks.

Wasn't this listed in the DCOT menu? I've used it a few times... Should probably use it more.

Never used this program before. Thanks for posting it, however I tried it out and I'm not really sure of the value of it. I kicked off a full scan, the initial snapshot scan was quick enough, however the compare scan took an absolute bloody age on me.

My only change was that I emptied about 10 items out of recycle bin as a test. The results weren't impressive. It would take ages reading through those logs. If you used this on a customers machine they'd have done a stack of stuff by the time you get back when they've encountered a problem. You'd be quicker diagnosing and fixing the problem using your own know-how. You'd likely have it fixed before the scan even completes. Also I created a test folder put 2 doc's in it. Ran scan. Then deleted doc's, ran 2nd scan... report was no change.

Anyhow with customers like that, who cares what they've done. Just do a system restore and have them back in business in no time.

I guess, it may have a use if you wanted to monitor a certain folder or program but for your suggested usage I'd say it's poor at best. I could be wrong on that. Please don't take this response the wrong way, as I know it sounds like I'm slagging the program... I'm not and like I say I appreciate you taking the time to post, but kindly inform me how it benefits you and possibly give an example of a good usage instance. I'm sure it must have some benefit, as it looks promising.
