I want to create a Help File

Greetings,

Long a go, I worked at a place where a tech created a help file. So instead of searching every where, we had a central location. The Help file would be updated regularly.

The help file I am referring to is the type comes with apss. The kind that you can search etc.

What I need is a program that can author (I guess that is what its called) a help file. I had one because I was going to make a help file but I can't fine it and I can't remember the name of it.

Does anyone know a program that I can use that would also be free?

create your own wiki. download the php/sql software wikipedia is based off - http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki

if you havnt got a server running in your office then use Xammp - http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html

this will give u full search ability and its very easy to backup a sql db

I dont really know how to code although it would be a good idea.

I was looking for for portability reasons.
