How to build a server?

25 systems are connected in LAN,and all are given a net connection,i like to monitor all the systems(such as internet usage) using their ip..What type of server should i built.And which platform is more suitable Linux/Windows.......:confused:

You could run it on a fairly minimal box and it looks like it would do what you want...
