Hey everyone, Ever since I bought that thermaltake 600w the temp inside my computer case rises to around 40C and my cpu rises to around 68C when i'm playing wow or doing anything intensive like video editing, atleast according to the motherboard temperature.

I do have case fans but the psu blocked the top one so i had to remove it, Its not like i never had to use the case fans anyone as the computer never overheated.

their is a side panal fan which i had to plug in last night to keep my comp cool but the air flow is all wrong, i did think of using one of these system air extractors to suck out the hot air from the case but i would appreciate any help or advice to keep my computer cool.

I am curious, you say you never had to use the fan that the psu overt took, but now since the psu has been put in, it's hotter? Is the PSU fan working? How's the paste on the cpu/cooler? Are any of the other fans dead?

I've never had to use the case fans that came with the case , the new psu's fan is working fine as far as i can tell, I've actually not checked the paste on the cpu and heatsink yet but perhaps maybe it could do with a clean and new paste applying ?.

the cpu fan works fine I control the speeds with speedfan its currently at 1035 RPM it has always run at this speed but since I replaced the psu for a much quieter one I find i need to turn it up to around 2200 rpm but the case still gets too warm.

I would redo the CPU paste to see if it helps. Otherwise make sure there is no dust clogging anything in the airflow channels. Is the PSU fan sucking air up, and pushing it out of the back?

Hi again, the psu fan sucks air from inside the case and blows it out the back but its not exactly very powerful at doing this because the thermaltake psu is designed to be quiet so i would imagine this is its weakness.

I'm gonna redo the cpu paste as its not been done for 2 years its also the perfect excuse to give the inside of the case a good clean, not that its dusty or anything but i can also inspect the heatsink to see if its clogged up e.t.c :)
