Help! I nstalled my motherboard and all else into a new case. I found then that it would not shutdown, just reboots. Thinking I had bought a case with a faulty switch, I returned the mobe etc. to the original case but the shutdown problem remains. What on earth have done wrong?? All connections appear to be in their correct place. John, Sth. Aust.
hi,
you may be getting a BSOD on shutdown and the bios is set restart on bsod try changing the restart on bsod in the bios to see if you get a bsod

Abe is right...I have seen that many times
yeap that sounds right about some error on shutdown. and just for general info u dont always need to test a mobo in a case u can benchtest which is simple and saves alot of time just use some sort of matt on your desk that wont conduct plug everything in and flick the mobo power switch using a screwdriver
If you pull the plug to shut it down will it automatically start up when you plug it back in?
