View Full Version : Windows Update removes antivirus 2008/2009

Microsoft malicious software removal tool (mrs) which is a part of windows update (and is updated every month) says it removed over 1 million copies of anitspyware 2008/2009

Security Now (http://twit.tv/sn172) the great podcast on www.twit.com reports it

I have not had any chance to validate it, I just herd it but this could be one tool from Microsoft that might actually work (keep your fingers crossed)

That was from April, this is from a press release last week http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33936329

Found this in a minute, I do not know where Steve Gibson (http://www.grc.com) got his info

btw, this is the guy that found the first spyware, coined the term spyware and wrote the first anti-spyware software, so this guys words do hold a lot of water
