View Full Version : xp pro, just built amd comp. onboard sound problem

hey guys, my speakers pass the realtek hd "test" and i hear the music, but nothing else works, no windows sounds, youtube, itunes, nothing.. any suggestions? i just built this comp a few days ago
not sure but did u install the chipset - Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture - then audio driver?
i notice if i forget UAA sometimes stuff messes up. might be worth a shot

the UAA is very bitchy ive had many a problem with it in the past when it comes to installing drivers on xp machines :(

so i should reinstall the driver from the mobo cd ? is UAA somthing i should d/l then install

its weird because i already have all the audio drivers installed for the card from the mobo cd. im downloading uaa right now and hoping that fixes the problem
if that doesnt help id say check your mobo manual and see if jack sensing needs to be disabled or configured. some mobos ive had to mess around with jack sense settings to get everything sweeet.
