Ever wanted to enable or disable or view all of your shell extensions?
You know... the stuff that shows up when you right click on an object...
Check out ShellExView: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html

Thanks for pointing this out.
I've become a big fan of the Nirsft stuff. It just works and, I believe, virtually everything is available in a portable version - something I'm beginning to insist on More and more.

Yeah I would also recommend this to anyone who is wanting to tidy up there right click menu's. When installing alot of software, they can automatically add shortcuts to the context menu without even asking you whether you want them or not.

I've heard it's very useful for the mysterious explorer.exe crashes... Kinda like I was having until I switched to freecommander.

I quickly got rid of Nero and found a portable version of Ashampoo Burning Studio 8. No complaints for me. Doesn't crap out like Nero does half way through a burn. I've only had one fail in the last year using Ashampoo. No conflicts with other software either.

Well, yes I recently installed nero backitup because all my itunes are locked in that on dvd. This was before I did any back up research otherwise I wouldn't use them. However I believe this was happening before as I just recently installed it while looking through my dvd's for last years elusive tax returns. Then again it's been so long since I've been on here, as I had over a month down waiting for my memory RMA to be rreturned, I believe I had a virus on here that may have screwed it up. However it works just fine while I'm using explorer, but it just dies after I close it. I haven't googled too much because frankly I don't care. Free commander is much better in my opinion. I suppose I should care if I want to be a tech right? I'll get on it one of these day.
PS. I'm running a sfc /scannow but it doesn't like my damn install cd so I downloaded nlite and am gonna make a new one from my 9in1. We'll see.
