does these videos play for you?

I've installed every available package for totem I can find. but these motorcycle race videos still wont play.
they are a windows media player file that opens in windows just fine. but these are some of the only ones on the net I cant get to play with ubuntu and firefox.:confused:

They work fine for me via Windows Media Player using Windows XP Professional SP3.

Maybe you're expecting too much of Ubuntu playing multimedia files? - I would hazard-a-guess if you want to live long enough to fully understand Linux, don't ride a motorcycle. :p

yeah linux sucks. I don't care what all these crazy linux people say. it's just too much of a pain to get everything to work. the programs suck. not so much linux. they leave out so many things in the programs you have to search for days and weeks to get it to work:rolleyes:

no the programs should at least have all the darn codecs etc with it when you install it the first time. or if not have them "clearly" listed with it so you don't have to search forums and the internet for someone else to tell you where to find them.

and aparently, gstreamer doesn't have a codec for this type of media yet.:rolleyes: "according to them"

nope, none of the available players play it. I don't know what other codecs are available. I've installed every available packages I can find for all the media players I come across.
I need someone to confirm they have it playing on theirs.
come on don't let microsoft show you linux guys up!
