Seems that I only have problems with my pc :D

So, when I want to enable hibernation in power managment options I get this message: "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process". Now I have no clue what process could be using it or what is wrong. Could it be my new PSU? I tried some things in my MOBO BIOS and found something like Suspend Type and I set it to S3 (Suspend to RAM). It is pretty cool, you tell the computer to go to stand by but actually it turns off and when you turn it on again it gets you back to the desktop in about 10 secs! But the pc has to be plugged in the power supply otherwise it will loose the data so I would like my hibernation back. I haven't messed with any sistem process so I don't know what it could be. I have a fresh install of WXP PRO SP2.

Have you got Daemon tools installed? If so this can cause a conflict.

If not, try searching for hiberfil.sys and rename it to something like hiberfil.old. You may need to do this in safemode. Afterwards reboot and try enabling hybernation in controlpanel.

Yes, I have DTools installed. Just exited the program but no luck, gonna restart the pc without starting DTools now and see if it fixes the hibernation thing.

Thanks!

Nope, turning off Daemon Tools didn't help.
So it is ok to do it the other way?

I think the compatibility problem with Daemon tools requires Daemon tools to be uninstalled.

Did you restart after uninstalling Daemon tools?

if you did and it didnt work, try the other fix.
