Got a customer with a query regarding his Xbox. Basically he wants to connect it wirelessly upstairs to his router downstairs so his son can play online. He is trying to avoid forking out £60 for the Xbox wireless module.
He has a PC with a wireless connection upstairs near to the Xbox that works flawlessly. He dooesn't want to run cable upstairs. He wonders if he can use the PC to connect the Xbox?
My initial thoughts were he might as well buy the wireless module. Then I remembered Internet Connection Sharing in XP. I have never actually used it and don't know how reliable it is, but it does sound like a possible solution.
Any experience of this?
