Hi folks,
Love the site and discussions but have only just made time to start posting.
I run my own business in a ruralish area in the mountains of southern BC. I retrained 8 years ago after working in the bush and construction for years. My brain was rotting and my body was falling apart. I worked for several crown corporations, the last of which fired me because I was "not a good fit". I must admit that government wasting money bugs the hell out of me. I view every dollar wasted as a dollar a taxpayer had to earn but didn't get to spend or save.
Its all been a blessing in disguise though and while I am not fully booked, my clientelle increase daily. I love working for other businesses as a consultant. I do a small amount of home user work but most of that is for my business clients home systems or their friends and family. I don't look for home user work.
Anyhow, Hello from ski country and home of some of the best powder skiing in the world.
