I just signed up as well, I there doesn't seem to be any business in my area with it, its certainly an interesting business idea... Has anyone had some success with it? and how did they get their first clients through it?

I am a member of Onforce, last year was excellent, in my area there are over 250 techs though, so it gets a little rough catching the work orders. I like the idea, but unfortunately it seems to have slowed down for them. Maybe it's the economy right now, but advise don't expect alot out of it right now. I don't rely on it now like I did last year, but use it to help supplement income when I'm slow.

I have been a member for a while, and it is tough when you have a lot of Tech's in one area. But luckily for me there are not many in my area. My only problem is they need to start increasing their spend limits, with the increase fuel cost and all... If you are looking for a way to make some easy money they pay quick.

In my area there is alot of techs, and little jobs coming across. Also, I find that they are looking for cheap labor. The last few I received was for some Kiosk setups for $150, taking about 6 hrs or more. $25 an hour, is great if you are working out of the home, and have little business, but not with our rates and situation.

I think OnForce is a great nationwide to sign up with as well as some others. The way I look at it the cost is $0. If a job comes thu and is willing to pay you what you want then you take it, if not the right amount do a conditional and see if the buyer accepts it. Either way you lose nothing.

I've done pretty good with OF. Along with the direct work I make a pretty good income. Actually getting the wo is extremely competitive and most can't get to the wo quick enough.

I've been a member since early 2007. I've gotten many WOs since. There are only 20 or so active members in my area. I only accept jobs that do not interfer with my regular job(bank Network Tech). I do the jobs that I can schedule late or on weekends. I could use it as a main source of income, however it is hard to know how much you will make each month. Some months are slower than others. I use it for the experience and it helps fill up my savings account. I recommend it just for the free Dell certs alone. A big reason why I got my current job is because of my 30+ Dell certs. Some employers are impressed with the Dell certs. I got all mine done within a few weeks. I will continue to use OF with the goal of saving money and gaining more customer service experience.

BTW: Some of my WOs have lead to HP certs & valuable contacts.
