I have a XP Home edition OEM product with no pre-install CDs. I am trying to build a BartPE for my business. When I attempt ot find a source for my build, my C drive comes up empty. I know very little about slipstreamming. I guess the bigger question is what drivers do i need for my BartPE and where do I find them if I can't find them on my own computer? What is your list of drivers during a build like this?

I am assuming that once the pre-install drivers are installed that I can't use them in this process. I know this sounds basic but I do not want to make any mistakes.

As far as i know, the only one to do a BartPE properly is having an XP cd.
i have never tried this but you could try to to find out if you have the I386 folder in your c:\ or Windows Folder, that one sould work as a "Source" for Bartpe too

You need to extract the contents of a Window's XP CD to a diretcory on your system root drive. Then point the PE Builder to thise files. You cannot use your existing Windows installation as the source. Hope this helps.

As it happens i have been plying with bartPE most of the day.
Made myself a bootable CD with a custom front end to it.
Got the virus defs all up to data and drive XML working well.
Having a problem getting any antispy wear to work yet but will be searching the forums more tomorrrow.
I found this web site which gives a lot of useful tips on how to get started.

>code "http://www.howtohaven.com/system/live-windows-rescue-cd.shtml" /< code

The trick is to copy i386 to the Cd first.

The site also has alot of other useful information inclduing how to slipstream XPSP3 using the same folder as above.
