S Video Attempt!

Hi again. My husband and I are trying to hook our computers up to our TV. We have just tried my laptop (a Toshiba Satellite running Vista), and it works -- the laptop screen is on the tv -- but there's one issue. The TV shows it in black and white.

We've tried different ports, and from what we can tell there are no 'bent pins'. Does anyone have a solution? :)

Couple of things:
Update your graphics driver to the latest, sometimes it'll fix issues like that.
Check to see if the svideo out is set to your type of TV (NTSC or PAL...US TVs are NTSC), may be a setting in the bios.
Try a different cable.

and...failing that, time to upgrade to a 80 inch hdtv with dvi and hdmi inputs. :D
