I have just heard an article on Radio4 discussing a new European Directive that will require websites to obtain explicit permission before placing a cookie onto a users machine.
There was no more information on how this might work nor how it would affect non-european sites. Would it be the site owner, webmaster or site hosted that would be responsible.
Has anybody else heard anything ?
I am responsible for 6 websites so look liable to be affected.
