Norton Internet Security 2008

Hi,

This software didnt let me use task manager, install any other virus/spyware apps or do alot of my normal checks that I need to do. It just says ACCESS DENIED YOU DONT HAVE PRIVILIDGES. Well I know theirs a supervisor account they setup"customer" but they didnt know even they did set it up.So thats no help.

My question is how can you disable this PIA software. Or let it do my work, Oh, forget about safe mode it blocks you out there too. I found workarounds to fix pc. However, I need to know if anyone has been able to disable or deactivate this NIS2008?

I would try to disable all of the Symantec/Norton Services. Boot into "Safe Mode", click on run and type "msconfig", click the services tab and disable all services that are from Symantec/Norton. Reboot and try to uninstall from there.

As indicated in post I tried safemode, and I cant remove the customers software to do service on it, I dont have their disks and supervisor account plus thats unproductive.

This is something other techs are going to run into sooner or later..
