I have added a repuation system to the forum in response to Laharl ex (http://www.technibble.com/forums/member.php?u=27)'s question about the possibility of someone purposefully giving bad advice.

If you come across a post that is helpful, informative or solves your problem, add to their reputation by clicking the http://www.technibble.com/forums/images/buttons/reputation.gif button.

Someones reputation is measured by the green bars above their posts, the longer someone is a member of the forums the more reputation-giving powers they have.

It's right beside report post. Right above your Join Date.:)

That's what I thought, but there's nothing there. Does it only appear after a certain number of posts? Just curious!

If the silver justice/balance like icon in the upper right of posts (between post # and the report button) doesn't show, then it's indeed tied to your post count or usergroup.

Is that for real or was it just a glitch that says it 2006!?

Maybe it's just a glitch that you failed to read the entire thread and realize that it is a three-year-old post that was resurrected by crisaroz asking if the function was still active.

This thread is three years old. :D

I was just replying to the above post. Not realizing that the original was actually 3 years old and had been resurrected. I in fact thought it was a glitch.
Thanks

This site is surprisingly (and pleasantly) glitch-free. It's not uncommon for old threads to sometimes be resurrected. Helpful to check the entire thread before posting, sometimes...

Kudos for manning up, though... good on ya.

Please use the reputation how it was meant to be used, for giving praise to a member when they help out on a topic etc.

We have already seen a few people using it with inappropriate content - you know who you are, and so do we

Try not to ruin it for everyone, otherwise it could mean the dismissal of the additional features/boards.

Request for thread to be closed.
Don't need people commenting on a 'useless' three-year old thread.
