Crumbs under the keys just big enough so its not pressed down? I've come across it before. Other than that, keyboards for laptops are cheap.

This weeks repair tool of the week would be perfect for what you want. Have a look on the first entry on the homepage.

Thanks for the info, Ive never had an occassion where only a few keys are broken, normally is either most or all of the keys, not sure whether a new keyboard is the answer.

Speaking as someone who primarily only works on laptops, this happens fairly frequently. I'd say with 99% certainty that it's just the keyboard....especially since it's localized in one area.

I just whack my keyboard on the side of my bed and dust it with those duster cans...works fine then.

That was my first thought. I got a Dell laptop(refurbished) that I received with two bad keys (ctrl & Shift). After receiving a new kepboard from Dell I removed the original just to learn that fluid must have been spilled on that side of the keyboard. Looked and felt like soda pop. Luckily it was only the keyboard that was damaged.

Ebay is your best bet for buying a replacement. I buy all my laptop keyboards there. Make sure to check the seller's feedback rating. I only by from people with a 98% or higher feedback
