Thats a third for Core2Duo. At this point pretty much nothing AMD makes comes close to Intel.

Of course there is always one with another point of view. I would just say that is also depends on the price. Better to me is also value. If I can get a comparable AMD proc for a good chunk cheaper then the intel and I want to save money maybe for something else then that is always an option.

I actually run both my laptop and desktop AMD 64 X2's now and this is the first time I went away from intel. I am not disappointed at all by these cpu's they run really well. Now a intel core 2 duo same spec, ie clock speed, cache etc will be better then a similar spec AMD for the most case but also look at the "value" just my two cents.

Price AMD still wins but preformance at a given clock speed Intel is currently the leader.
