Hi all.
I Bought A Maxtor Onetouch 4 (500GB) the other week and i think its great.
In case you haven't heard about it, its basically a 500GB External HDD with a USB 2 connection.
It comes preloaded with its own software on board which you can customise, it has a default setting of backing up your "My Docuuments" Folder daily at 10pm.
On the first run it does a full back up then after that it just backs up any changes.
The one downside I have found is the built in restore feature allows you to copy or move files as you would do normally from an external HDD, but it take you a long winded way for example to recover a file from "My Documents" on the device I have to navigate OFFICE-PC-1/C/Documents and Settings/Owner/My Documents. like I said long winded to a newbee.
Only paid £65.00.
What do you guys use for back ups?
P.S. does anyone know how to rename my account from "Owner".
On the start menu i have a user name.
However under on My computer my acconut is down as "C:/Documents and Settings/Owner"
