Hello all....

I am cleaning another well infested computer...

It's a XP Home machine and at this point my virus and spware scans are coming up clean. However, whenever I am at the desktop, whether I am in regular or safe mode, the desktop goes blank and restarts it's self.

I found an iexplore.exe virus and removed it along with a pile of spyware. I did goggle the issue and tried a few things, but no success.

I am just wondering if any of ran across this before....

What apps are you scanning it with and it may have corrupted some system files you might need to reinstall how ever a repair install may work in this case.

I have thrown AVG and Spybit at it...

I am going to run Ad-Aware tonight....

you'll also want to use hijackthis to clean out alternative data streams.
