Since this website is new, I am looking for suggestions or ideas for things you would like to see on these forums or website pages.
Any suggestions or ideas?

Question: How large of a forum do you wish/expect this one to become?

No limit really. As big as it can. Aiming to get it as big as Anime-Forums (http://www.anime-forums.com) (for those of you who dont know, AF is my other forum) within 2 years or so.

At the moment its all very minature, maybe add hardware reviews, common problems page, join a toplist to generate more pagehits and get more people in maybe :)

Got a brief but important one.

Can we have IMG tags in signatures, please?

Im a bit iffy about having Image tags in sigs. Its ok to have sigs in a forum such as Anime-Forums (although we did get a reputation for having HUGE signatures before we forced sig size) but I find most techies are minimalists and prefer to get straight to the point. Most technical forums I see around also have sigs turned off.

I'm for the img signature, but put some limits to it. I limited it to max h=50px in my forum.
I always use 6 png files 80x15px for my signature, and I use it on all the forums, can I use it here, please?

Here they are:

Having images as sigs -- here? An avatar would be all that we would "need" here. But sigs.? They're more or less a distraction for a forum like this one.

Most technical forums I see around also have sigs turned off.

We don't really want to attract anime people here, right? :D

Signatures and non-technical people aren't a package deal. Personally, I'd rather prefer using my 300x150px signature showing my current system specs. Yes, those could fit into a textual sig, but they'd likely take up more space, and they wouldn't look half as decent. Likewise with rus' usual signature, since it's an info banner showing what he uses on a general basis.

I understand what you mean by minimalism and techies, and it's true, but going for a completely spartan, bland layout isn't going to make people think "this place might be fun". People would probably see it as "Oh, another tech forum. No signatures. Feels almost like Usenet... moving on".

I'm not too aesthetic when it comes to signatures or computers. In fact, I get sick when I see bling-blinged computers with 7000 leds, an obnoxious logo and MacOS-skinned Windows. But this is a forum, having at least a small, inocuous strip of pngs or a small box with computer specs wouldn't hurt the traffic, or the image the forum will show of itself.

Hmmm Im kinda with Bryce on it but I see the other points as well in addition if we are offering help that means plenty of non-techies will join for the help they seek and they might like it how ever I do think if this is permited there be more restrictions then that on A4 I think if we have sigs I want them rather minimal and limit to about 1 sig image and ofcourse, this may or may not already be in place, allow people to turn off sigs or perhaps a better more advanced and certianly pain in the ass for Bryce method allow people to disable img tags from being displayed but that would lead to some issues

note: sorry but Im not gunna start using puncuation here

In the top navbar there is a link called "New Posts" which lists posts since your last visit. Was this what you were looking for?

Actually, this was our first ever article:

Though, perhaps we should do another more updated version.

How about somewhere to share templates, such as flyers, brochures and business card concepts. I'd be willing to share some of my stuff with others.

Yahoo groups has something like this and users post pics of their car graphics, invoices, posters ect.. Just a thought!

HAHA, nice try but Bruce wouldn't give his spectacular documents (well I'm not sure if their spectacular as I didn't buy it) away for free. The business kit includes all this stuff and profits are used to keep the site up. If your looking for something like this I'm sure you can start a new post and ask some other members if they would share.

I bought the kit and it is not what we're talking about. The business kit is more legal type of forms, whereas bishop was talking about advertising copy and graphics.

How about a "Website design Category" with sub categories such as "HTML", "Flash" "Graphics & Images" "Tips & Hints"

Most of do some form of Web design, so why not have its rightful place.

The "Graphics & Images" area could be a place we are willing to upload and share with others, images & graphics we have designed.

The "Tips & Hints" area could be things like I have found an easy way to do....... or are you aware that you can do......

I think this will be of great benefit to all Technibblers...

Agreed 100% with the above statement.
