Hi Geeks,
I hope you all agree that finding and installing drivers in a PC/Notebook after a fresh install costing huge amount of time.To avoid this i have tried slipstreaming (Bâshrat the Sneaky) driver packs in to the install cd including Ryan post install updates. But it does not satisfy me due to below reasons.
1. No modem support (most of NB still come with HD modem)
2. The sound drivers installs wrong driver in some case for unknown reason (which i did not spend time identifying)
3.Wlan install wrong drivers while downgrade from vista to xp (Mostly Broad com)
4.Limited mass storage support (Can't blame them cos they recently started this)
5.No TPM module driver support
6.No Blue tooth driver support
7.No built-in camera driver support
8.No support for some unique drivers like Fujitsu, IBM acpi and some asus at00xxxx drivers
9.Some HP models need drivers for quick launch...
can some one advise the feasibility, complexity of writing a application which can automatically detect and install / update drivers?
a similar concept of appsnap can solve the above. any advise?
Regards
